Amy Clarke has a background in marketing and communications and a particular affinity for the food and agribusiness sector having grown up on farms on the Sunshine Coast and Western Queensland.
Amy spent the early part of her career working for ABC Regional Radio where she implemented the Inaugural Australian Rural Woman of the Year Award. The Award was part of a creative solution to marketing the network on a very small budget. Using her skills in planning, sponsorship negotiation, event management and public relations a highly successful marketing platform was created. Her time at the ABC also gave Amy a real appreciation for connecting with the grass-roots side of agriculture as she came across the breath of talent in rural and regional Australia.
Amy has also operated a small Sydney based marketing consultancy with the bulk of her client base being not-for-profit – among them Sydney Opera House, SBS Television, Australian Information Industry Association and Sydney Markets.
She likes “getting stuff done” and is very much looking forward to getting to know and work with the growing network of FAN members, affiliates and sponsors.
