Tanya Arnold is a hospitality and project management professional with experience working for both private and government organisations. At the age of 17, Tanya commenced her career working in the hotel and tourism industry and in 2003, was awarded with the Ann Garms Award for Excellence in Hospitality. This scholarship provided Tanya with the opportunity to work in London at the world-class Great Eastern Hotel, managing all departments of the hotel, including private dining and events such as FICOFI Wine Events, Weddings and Conferences.
When she returned to Australia in 2005, Tanya graduated at the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of International Hotel and Tourism Management. She was then recruited as Assistant Manager, to establish the restaurant and event facilities for Ramada’s new Pelican Waters Golf Resort and Spa.
For the next 7 years, Tanya took a slight detour and transferred her organisational and problem solving skills to project managing professional development programs for Queensland’s Department of Education and Training and the Department of Premier and Cabinet. This provided her with the knowledge and experience to develop the capacity and capability of public servants, executives, students, teachers and principals. This experience also expanded internationally while project managing offshore programs for Education Queensland International. In 2016, Tanya extended her knowledge further by completing the Export and Global Capability program delivered by the Export Council of Australia and Sunshine Coast Council.
Tanya’s love of food and interest in nutrition has also extended itself into her own business where she is an international award-winning author and public speaker.
Tanya loves any opportunity to meet new people and is very much looking forward to connecting with our FAN members, affiliates and sponsors.
