FAN Annual General Meeting 2025 Call for Director Nominations
We are now calling for nominations for two (2) Elected Directors to join the Food and Agribusiness Network Limited (FAN) Board of Directors. These are member-elected positions with a term of three (3) years from the date of the next FAN AGM, scheduled for 20 November 2025.
FAN’s Constitution provides for a Board of up to seven (7) Directors, made up of both Elected and Appointed Directors. At least two (2) of these must be Elected Directors, who are chosen by FAN’s financial Members. To ensure continuity of operational knowledge and strategic direction, while also allowing for Board refreshment, the Constitution requires that a minimum of one (1) Elected Director and one (1) Appointed Director retire each year. In accordance with the FAN Constitution, members interested in nominating for the Elected Director role must:
1. Be a current financial (Industry ie. FAN Connect Member) Member (or Nominated Representative of a Corporate Member).
2. Be nominated by a current financial Member (or Nominated Representative of a Corporate Member) by completing the Elected Director Nomination Form.
3. Not be disqualified from managing corporations under Part 2D.6 of the Corporations Act 2001.
IMPORTANT NOTES
- Affiliate (Commercial) Members are unable to be nominated or nominate another member as per the FAN Constitution for this current position.
- As per recent legislation – if you plan to become a director, you must apply for a director ID before you’re appointed. For more information on Director IDs can be found HERE.
- All current financial Members are eligible to nominate and vote in this election.
TO NOMINATE
To complete your nomination, please access the FAN Elected Director Nomination portal HERE which will guide you through the nomination process. As part of this process you will be required to provide relevant information and upload the following:
(i) signed and completed Nomination Form (download HERE);
(ii) recent photo; and
(iii) current resume (max 3 pages).
This information must be received by FAN no later than 5pm AEST on Tuesday 14 October 2025.
VOTING
- The Board will assess the eligibility of the nomination.
- Current financial Members will be provided with a list of nominees and invited to vote electronically – with voting opening on Tuesday 21 October 2025.
- The voting will remain open for a period of 21 days with the result of the election announced at the AGM on Thursday 20 November 2025.
