Tanya Alison (Arnold) is an experienced leader in the Australian food and agribusiness sector, bringing expertise in product development, sustainability, marketing, stakeholder engagement and operations. Since 2022, Tanya has made a significant contribution to the dairy industry through roles with Maleny Cheese and Maleny Dairies, leading strategic projects across sustainability, agritourism, procurement, distribution and customer experience.

Tanya has represented the dairy sector on government committees and at educational events, sharing insights into consumer trends, industry innovation, and the evolving needs of regional producers. Her career began in hospitality, where she completed a Bachelor of International Hotel and Tourism Management, was awarded the Ann Garms Scholarship for Excellence in Hospitality, and undertook a Graduate Management Traineeship at an exclusive London hotel. She later worked across government, gaining strong skills in stakeholder engagement, program delivery and community-focused initiatives.

Tanya was FAN’s first employee, joining the organisation in 2017 as Coordinator. She played an essential role in shaping FAN’s early operations, supporting the development of a new membership model, managing the Sunshine Coast Member Coordinator portfolio and building trusted relationships with members and industry partners. Her work also included contributing to FAN’s successful Sunshine Coast Business Awards applications, which helped secure FAN’s induction into the Hall of Fame.

With experience spanning hospitality, government, dairy, sustainability and regional industry development, Tanya brings a balanced and practical perspective to the FAN Board. She is deeply committed to supporting producers and agribusinesses to innovate, grow and build long-term resilience. Her understanding of FAN’s operations and governance strengthens her ability to contribute effectively as a Director, helping advance FAN’s mission to connect, strengthen and grow Australia’s food and agribusiness sector.
